Smiley Children Society’s Community-Driven Educational Programs Continue to Transform Young Lives
Mandapeta, Andhra Pradesh: Every child deserves the opportunity to dream, learn, and succeed. Working with this vision, Smiley Children Society has been empowering children from underserved communities through education-focused initiatives since its establishment on January 19, 2019. Founded by Prudhvi Moses, the organization continues to promote educational inclusion by supporting children, strengthening communities, and encouraging volunteer participation across Andhra Pradesh.
Operating from its Head Office in Mandapeta, with branch offices in Angara (East Godavari District) and Pothavaram (West Godavari District), Smiley Children Society has earned recognition for its grassroots approach to child welfare and educational development.
A major focus of the organization’s work is helping children from economically weaker families gain admission to government schools. Volunteers regularly conduct community outreach programs, identify children who are not enrolled in school, counsel parents about the importance of education, and assist them with documentation and admission procedures.
The initiative has received appreciation from Headmaster Swamy Narayan, who acknowledged the efforts of the volunteers and praised Founder Prudhvi Moses for creating awareness about education among rural families.
“Education is the most valuable gift we can provide to a child. By working together with schools, parents, and volunteers, we are helping children begin a journey that can transform their lives and contribute to the development of society,” said Prudhvi Moses.
To ensure that students continue to thrive after enrollment, Smiley Children Society organizes free evening tuition classes at its Angara centre. The program offers additional academic support in key subjects, homework guidance, revision sessions, and examination preparation, helping students improve their confidence and classroom performance.
Understanding that proper nutrition is equally important for academic success, the organization also provides free dinner after each tuition session. This initiative supports children’s health while offering financial relief to families, enabling students to focus on their studies without additional concerns.
Smiley Children Society also continues to advocate for innovation in early childhood education. During educational events at schools such as ZPHS Angara, Prudhvi Moses has encouraged Anganwadi centres and educators to adopt activity-based learning, storytelling, creative classroom exercises, visual teaching aids, and educational games that make learning enjoyable and encourage children’s curiosity.
To support these educational practices, the organization regularly donates classroom equipment, educational materials, and teaching aids to schools committed to creating engaging learning environments.
Looking toward the future, Smiley Children Society aims to reach more villages, expand its educational programs, strengthen collaborations with schools and local organizations, and inspire more individuals to participate in volunteer service. Through its sustained commitment to education, nutrition, and community development, the organization continues to work toward a future where every child has the opportunity to receive quality education, realize their potential, and contribute meaningfully to society.
